P.K. Hallinan in his studioP.K. Hallinan is the author and illustrator of more than 80 children's books, with over 7,500,000 copies sold worldwide. P.K. first began writing and illustrating 35 years ago when his wife asked him to create a picture book as a Christmas gift for their two young sons.

Mr. Hallinan is this nation's foremost author of children's books which teach life-long values. His book, For The Love Of Our Earth, was recognized by Early Childhood News as one of America's "100 Best Product Picks for Children." His books, We're Very Good Friends, My Mother and I, and We're Very Good Friends, My Father and I, made the "Top Five" of Waldenbooks National Bestsellers list. Today, his many books, which include, That's What A Friend Is, I'm Thankful Each Day, and How Do I Love You?, are enjoyed by all for the timeless values they share.

Mr. Hallinan also, was honored by Howard Payne University's prestigious Lorgnette Review for his books. A Rainbow Of Friends, and When I Grow Up, which were given their highest rating of "Outstanding in Their Genre."

P.K. is an ordained minister and a nationally noted speaker, whose motivational assembly, Find A Hole and Fill It, has touched hundreds of thousands of lives. He lives with his wife, Jeanne, and three dogs, in the mountains above Ashland, Oregon.

School Assemblies
P.K. is available to come to your school and give his highly entertaining, yet impacting, "The Pink Elephant" assembly to your kids. The presentation is adaptable to any age group and any school level, K through 12.

In his assembly, P.K. uses 50 color overhead transparencies to discuss how he became a world-famous children's author and how life's setbacks can be turned into life's victories. Also, he shows the kids how he draws, developing a full-color illustration right before their eyes, while explaining how to use color, light and shadow to achieve wonderful art effects. He then closes with his Three Rules for Success: 1) Work hard, 2) Finish what you start, and 3) Help other people along the way.

For more than 20 years, P.K. has been sharing with aspiring children's authors his day-long seminar, Writing Picture Books for Children. This class is built around P.K.'s Six Golden Keys, which are Attitude, Skill, Presentation, Information, Reach, and Energy (ASPIRE). During this richly informative six hours, P.K. shares 35 years of experience in both writing and illustrating children's books, including Writing Basics, Manuscript Preparation and Submission, Negotiating Contracts, and Effective Marketing.

P.K. is also widely known as a highly entertaining and effective motivational speaker, whose presentation, Find A Hole and Fill It, has helped thousands of people to find the key to greater happiness and greater fulfillment in life through giving out to others. This talk is G-Rated, and suitable for all types of gatherings, from service clubs to sales meetings to annual banquets.

P.K. is also available to visit your church as a guest pastor and deliver a powerful Biblical message to your congregation. As an ordained minister, and a Senior Pastor for five years, P.K. has a wealth of knowledge to share with you and your church about God's love for all of us.
